Step #8: Edit your ‘About Us’ page

On the About Us page, you can see the new ‘About Us’ info you just added to your home page: Pedestal added it here (and everywhere else it’s applicable) automatically.

You can focus on filling in the rest now.

‘About’ pages can feature more than just company details. You can feature the key players in your business, highlight technicians and project managers, and put faces to the names that your customers will start working with.

By the way, here and anywhere else you see the gray X in the top right corner of an element, you can click to remove it. That way, you don’t go live with a placeholder team member if you don’t have the same number of employees that the template includes.

Step #9: Edit your ‘Services’ page

Services might just be the core of your landscaping website as this is where people will come to find out if you can help them with their specific project.

Don’t hold back on the descriptions here. The main services page should include a listing of everything you offer with a little intro text to get people interested. If you’re a pro at laying turf or soil irrigation, let everyone know.

Take a moment to triple check your ‘Testimonials’ page. This is populated based on what you entered into the Marketing Strategy wizard. You can make edits or add new reviews by clicking on the copy you see.

Step #11: Edit your ‘blog’ section

You might not fancy yourself a writer, but if you or someone on your team can take the time to create a few content pieces, they’ll go far.

Blogs are a great way to showcase your industry know-how, feature customers or case studies for major projects, and (again) help you stand out from the competition. Blogs also help with Google search rankings while landscapers who blog receive 67% more leads than those who don’t.

Then add in your copy. It should only take a few minutes to paste in your blog and title and upload a coordinating picture.

If you prefer to skip the blog entirely for now, you certainly can. Just click on ‘Pages’ in the left-hand Dashboard menu. Then find ‘Blog’ in the list and click the eye icon to hide it.

Step #12 – Edit your ‘Contact Us’ page

Again, this should be mostly populated with the contact details you already entered. Load the page to confirm that everything is accurate and current. You can click on any text that isn’t quite right to make an update.

Step #13 – Edit your ‘Gallery’ page

So much of landscaping is about appearances.

A great outdoor space is a work of art of its own, and you’ll want to make sure customers can see what you’re capable of. That’s where the ‘Galley’ comes into play.

You can create galleries or collections of images based on project types (e.g. architecture vs. hardscapes vs. gardens). There are a number of placeholder images that you should replace with your own so customers can see all of your hard work.

Just click an image to remove or upload your own in its place.
